Hi , This is Pawani Dube, after  the completion of  my 12th grade with Science stream, I pursued BMM , and it happened to be one of the best decisions. I have an excellent academic performance record with an 'O' Grade in all the semesters. BMM enabled me to utilize and explore my creativity and ideas as it  involves a lot of practical projects and assignments. I am interested in Copywriting and creative writing and thus opted for Advertising as my specialization in TYBMM.

    2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

    It feels great and happy.

    3) Whom will you credit your success to?

I credit my success to my family and teachers, for supporting and motivating me to give my best performance.

    4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?

I started  proper self study after some time, but yes I attended lectures in my college regularly. Also I considered all my projects and assignments as important and prepared them really well.

    5) How did you study for Sem V?

Initially I started reading and understanding all the topics and concepts  in my notes for all the subjects . Once the topics are understood well, it  becomes easier to learn them and store it in our long term memory.Regular practice is required for subject such as media planning and buying , which includes mathematical problems and case study. Ad design  subject is a completely practical subject and requires use and application of unique ideas for  the ad campaign to be prepared thus I started preparing for it from the beginning.

    6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?

All the subjects in TYBMM Sem 5 are interesting and include a lot of practical application of knowledge. Any subject will become difficult if not prepared well prior exams.

    7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

The content of the answers should be appropriate, factual and informative. Long and descriptive answers that make proper sense should be written.

I wrote my answers mostly in paragraphs. Only sometimes when I had to point out something important in the answer or when the question demanded to mention the answer in an order, I preferred writing in pointer format and further elaborating each pointer.

    8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

There is a particular way to solve case study in exam. Learning the appropriate steps to solve a particular case study helps in solving it in exams effectively in a stipulated period of time.

    9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Yes, in subjects such as brand building and consumer behavior I had drawn diagrams along with the theory part as it was required. Not all but some questions do demand diagrams. In case of such questions diagrams are a must as it highlights your answer and helps in getting better marks.

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

As the exams started nearing I made specific study  plans and followed them. There are a few subject which require proper learning of concepts such as brand building, so i made it a point to revise regularly whatever i had understood and learnt previously. For all the remaining subjects, writing in our own words is applicable thus once the the topic is pretty much understood  we can elaborate it on our own.

    11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

I prefer taking a short nap in case if i feel distracted and also at times listening to some good music helps. Taking regular short intervals while preparing for exams enables proper and effective learning.
